Worship

Vision Statement:
Using the framework of Psalm 95:1-6 Legacy Church encourages expressive worship (singing, clapping, lifting of hands, dancing, kneeling), as modeled in Old and New Testament scripture. We desire to cultivate both the needed skills and a heart of worship, to provide effective worship ministry and leadership.
Mission Statement:
- A place of fellowship and community for worship team members to build strong relationships with one another.
- Allow a place for team members a place of teaching and equipping, to express and make use of their God given musical abilities , deepen their call to service and expand their understanding of what worship means and the intent God purposed for worship in the local church.
- Opportunities for team members to cultivate their gifts and talents in weekend services, Nights of Worship, Small Group meetings and sponsored outreaches.
“Worship is nothing less than obedience to the command of God: The bible instructs us to offer our bodies as living sacrifices unto God (Romans 12:1). It is when we offer our lives in complete surrender to Jesus; (even in our worship), that we see and experience Him for who He is. Everything we need can be found in his presence. Psalm 16:11… Worship is a way of gladly reflecting back to God the radiance of His worth. It is not a mere act of will power by which we perform outward acts. Without the engagement of the heart, we do not really worship. The engagement of the heart in worship is the coming alive of the feelings and emotions and affections of the heart. Where feelings for God are dead, worship is dead… Strong affections for God rooted in truth are the bone and marrow of biblical worship.
